The Halcyon Big 4.5’ SMB (Surface Marker Buoy) serves as a reliable, 1.4m long closed circuit alert marker in highly visible orange. 

Consequently, this SMB lacks an open bottom; divers inflate it using an inflator hose through the fitted one-way valve connector. 

An integrated pressure-relief valve is built into the design, specifically allowing for safe deployment from significant depths.
